PREVIEW: City travel to Loftus Road this weekend

The Sky Blues take on QPR in Championship action...

15 April 2023

The Sky Blues travel to Loftus Road to face Queens Park Rangers in the Sky Bet Championship this weekend.

Meet the R's:

A wretched run of form sees Queens Park Rangers head into this weekend's fixture looking over their shoulders, as they face a nervous end to the season.

Following Gareth Ainsworth's appointment earlier this year, the R's have struggled to pick up any form and have fallen down the pecking order in the Championship.

QPR are currently two points above Reading, who occupy the final spot in the bottom three of the division.

However, a point last time out away at play-off chasing West Bromwich Albion, will give Ainsworth's side a much-needed boost heading into the final five fixtures of the season.

Inside the Sky Blues camp:

Mark Robins said:“We have five games left and we haven’t won for a few. We’re now in a position where we go to QPR, to another ground where we haven’t won for a while.

“It’s a difficult place to go and they’re fighting for their lives. They’ve had a new manager come in this season.

“They had a creditable result at West Brom on Monday and that will give them confidence, from our point of view we have nothing to lose.

“They change their style and they’re fighting for their lives, and they have good players in their ranks, but we have to go there and try and hurt them.”
