NEWS: Fans encouraged to arrive early and plan journeys ahead of Saturday's game against Birmingham City

26 April 2023

Fans attending Saturday’s game against Birmingham City are being urged to arrive at the Coventry Building Society Arena early, with a record crowd for a Sky Blues league game at the Arena.

As Mark Robins’ side pushes for a play-off spot, around 30,000 people will be in attendance for the Sky Bet Championship fixture on Saturday 29th April.

Kick-off for the match will be at 3pm kick-off, but turnstiles will be opening at the earlier than usual time of 1pm.

All fans are being encouraged to arrive early – arriving by at least 2:30pm will help with entry at turnstiles and ensuring all fans are in before kick-off, as will having your Season Ticket card or Match Ticket ready for scanning as you go into the Arena.

There will be wide range food & beverage offerings outside the stadium from 12pm and also within the concourse too from 1pm.

The matchday Family Zone will also be taking place earlier, from 1pm to 2pm and will be outside the North Stand turnstiles for this game.

Sky Blues supporters are reminded that tickets are sold out and that there will be no availability to purchase on the day.

Finally, with a bumper crowd making their way to the Coventry Building Society Arena, supporters are being advised to plan their matchday journey in advance. On-site car parking is now sold out, however fans can book convenient nearby park and walk sites now by visiting www.coventryparking.co.uk or one of the additional spaces at Arena Park by clicking here.

Coventry City Chief Executive Dave Boddy said:

“We are all looking forward to welcoming a bumper, sell-out crowd to the Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday for our game against Birmingham City, and the boost that will provide to Mark Robins and the Sky Blues squad.”

“We are encouraging fans to plan ahead and help make sure the day goes smoothly for everyone.

“By planning your journey, arriving early and having your tickets ready, you can help greatly.”
