LOAN WATCH: Todd Kane and Martyn Waghorn return to action

Victories for Rus, Dinanga and McGrath...

We take a look at how those players currently away from the Sky Blues faired this weekend for their loan sides.

In the football league, there were returns to action for Todd Kane and Martyn Waghorn, as both were brought off the bench for their respective sides.

Kane returned, having spent almost three months on the sidelines, against Ipswich Town at Portman Road, whilst Waggy featured for Huddersfield Town in their defeat away to Swansea City.

Ricardo Dinanga played a vital role in helping Nuneaton Borough come from 2-0 down away at Ilkeston, to win 3-2.

The winger produced an assist for Borough’s first goal, as he played the full 90 minutes in a memorable win for Nuneaton.

Having played against Alvechurch midweek in the Birmingham Senior Cup, Abel Alabi and Aidan Finnegan were in action for their loan side.

Finnegan started the game, before being withdrawn on 54 minutes, whilst Alabi was introduced into proceedings in the 47th minute, as Alvechurch suffered a 3-0 defeat to Hitchin Town.

In Scotland and Blaine Rowe and Falkirk were forced to settle for a point against Airdrie in Scottish League One.

Despite having led in the game, Falkirk had to find a late leveler to earn a point in their pursuit of promotion to the Championship.

Elsewhere, there was victory for Jay McGrath and St Patrick’s, making it a birthday to remember for the City defender.

The Irish side were 3-2 winners away at Bohemians FC, with McGrath playing the full 90 minutes for his loan side.

Finally, Marco Rus played 85 minutes of Chorley’s 2-1 win over Leamington, as they struck late on, having being also being pegged back moments after Rus’s withdrawal from the game.
