On 30 October 2004, the Sky Blues picked up an important three points at Highfield Road against Saturday's opponents Reading.

The Royals fell behind early on through a Lloyd Owusu goal before Stern John helped to draw City level from the penalty spot on 14 minutes.

From there, the Sky Blues played with confidence and forced their way ahead through a stunning Andy Morrell goal that saw the striker bring the ball down with his chest and fire past Marcus Hahnemann.

The game was put out of Reading's reach just after the hour mark when Eddie Johnson, on loan from Manchester United, scored City's third.

Dave Kitson pulled one back for the visitors in stoppage time but the three points were already Covnetry's/
