NEWS: Coventry City supporting Tickets for Troops again in 2022/23

8 September 2022

Coventry City are continuing with their support of the 'Tickets for Troops' charity throughout the 2022/23 season.

The Sky Blues will be providing match tickets to all home league games, as they have done since the charity was formed in 2009.

Ticket for Troops has been providing free tickets for a variety of sporting, musical and cultural events to members of the Armed Forces and their families since 2009.

The service offers serving personnel and those medically discharged from the forces since 2001 the well-deserved opportunity to enjoy an event of their choice with their friends and families.

Since 2009, the charity has distributed over 1.6 million tickets to members of HM Armed Forces to attend events all around the UK.

The Sky Blues provide a number of free tickets to Tickets for Troops for all of our home league matches at the Coventry Building Society Arena, and we are proud to continue our long support of the campaign and our nation’s armed forces.

In the 2019/20 campaign, the Sky Blues signed the Armed Forces Covenant - making a commitment to support the country’s servicemen and women wherever and however it can and to ensure no member of the Armed Forces should suffer any disadvantage as a result of their service.

Coventry City also provide concessionary discounts on Season Tickets, Match Tickets and Match Packages for serving Members of the Armed Forces, as well as working with Armed Forces, past and present, in a number of different ways throughout the season.

Coventry City Chief Executive Dave Boddy said:

“We are very pleased to be continuing our long-standing partnership with Tickets For Troops.

“Each home league game, we provide free tickets to league games for serving personnel and those medically discharged from the forces through Tickets For Troops and the work that they do.

“They are a brilliant charity and we’re very pleased that we can continue to provide this support for them, as we have for 13 years now, and for the Armed Forces as a whole.”

Boddy added:

“We support a range of organisations, people and causes in Coventry & Warwickshire throughout the season by ticket donations and other activities, and people can see more information and how to get in touch on our website.”
