The Sky Blues are back at the Coventry Building Society Arena to face Blackburn Rovers in a Sky Bet Championship fixture. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the opponents...

Opposition:

Blackburn Rovers head into tonight's fixture second in the Sky Bet Championship, as they occupy the final automatic promotion spot.

Rovers enjoyed a summer of change, as long-term boss Tony Mowbray departed and was replaced by former Danish striker, John Dal Tomasson.

Since his arrival, Blackburn have enjoyed a strong start to the season, winning 11 matches, including their last four fixtures.

Tomasson was also busy in the transfer market, bringing in former City defender Dom Hyam, Liverpool mifielder Tyler Morton on loan, alongside keeping striker Ben Brereton Diaz.

Head-to-Head record:

Coventry City wins: 17
Draws: 9
Blackburn Rovers wins: 15

Blackburn's last six:

Blackburn Rovers 2-1 Birmingham City
Blackburn Rovers 2-0 Sunderland
Middlesbrough 1-2 Blackburn Rovers
Wigan Athletic 1-0 Blackburn Rovers
Blackburn Rovers 3-0 Rotherham United

Officials:

The EFL have confirmed that Tim Robinson will be the man in the middle of the Sky Blues clash with Blackburn Rovers tomorrow night.

It will be the first time that Robinson has taken charge of a game involving the Sky Blues this season, with his last outing coming during the 2021/22 season which saw City lose 2-0 to Nottingham Forest.

This year will mark Tim's 11th season as a referee in the Football League and over that time period he has officiated nine Sky Blues fixtures.

This season so far, Robinson has awarded 54 yellow cards and two red cards in the 12 games he has officiated across the Championship and EFL Cup.

Robinson will be assisted by Graham Kane and Mark Dwyer whilst Andy Davies will act as the fourth official.
