PREVIEW: QPR visit the Coventry Building Society Arena

QPR are the final opponents before the World Cup...

The Sky Blues will be looking to make it four wins on the spin tomorrow, as they play host to Queens Park Rangers at the Coventry Building Society Arena...

Meet QPR:

After a bright start to the season, Queens Park Rangers have endured a difficult recent run of results, going four games without a win.

The Hoops have lost three of their last four, earning a credible draw away at Norwich City along the way.

However, despite their recent results, QPR will be looking to keep hold of their place in the play-offs, whilst also closing the gap on the automatic promotion spots.

On the other hand, a win for the Sky Blues would see them close the gap on QPR to just two points, and would also extend a winning run of three consecutive results.

Mark Robins looks ahead to QPR:

“They’re a really good side and Michael Beale has gone in there and stamped his mark there in the first few months.

“He’s building as squad, and they have a lot of good players who know the club inside out. Ilias Chair is one that springs to mind, as is Willock and Lyndon Dykes and they’ve come in and performed really well.

“Whoever he plays in those front positions are a threat and they have strength and power behind the attackers, and they play in a way which is similar to Liverpool and the way Jurgen Klopp set out in the early days.

“Tactically out of possession they work really hard, and they try and press when they can and if you give them time and space they’ll hurt you, so we have to be ready for any threat.

“Obviously, Jake Clarke-Salter is one of them and whether he plays or not I don’t know, but he was brilliant for us last year, he came in and performed really well for us.”

Michael Beale's thoughts:

“They are a huge threat so this is an ideal game for us to respond and make a point, if you like. Mark (Robins) and Adi Viveash, who I know from my time at Chelsea, have done a fantastic job.

“This season has been a rollercoaster for them; they had problems with their stadium, they had to play a lot of their games away from home and play catch-up.

“They have won six of their last eight, and we know what that feels like because it was only 10 or 11 days ago we were six in eight as well. It will be a tough game but I’m looking forward to it."
