A look back at City in September 2021...

13 May 2022

Following the end of the 2021/22 season we take a look back at each month in photos...

The Sky Blues started September by bouncing back from defeat against Queens Park Rangers by defeating Middlesbrough 2-0 at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Viktor Gyokeres scored the game's opening goal midway through the second half, before Martyn Waghorn wrapped up the points with his first league goal for the club.

The Sky Blues then continued their 100% home record by seeing off Cardiff City with a 1-0 win, with another goal from their Swedish striker Viktro Gyokeres.

The Swede was on target in his third consecutive game when City drew 1-1 with Millwall at the Den. Viktor opened the scoring, but City were pegged back just before half-time and were unable to find a winner.

City were back at home in their next outing and it was another convincing win in Coventry as Mark Robins side put three past Peterborough United on Friday night.

Gustavo Hamer scored his first goal of the season, alongside another brace for Gyokeres on home turf.

Unfortunately, the month ended with a dissapointed defeat to Luton Town at Kenilworth Road, as the Hatters beat City 5-0.
