The Sky Blues started the month with defeat in South Wales, as Swansea City beat Mark Robins side 3-1 at the Swansea.com Stadium.
Defeat at home to Luton followed next, before one of the results of the season saw the Sky Blues beat Sheffield United 4-1 at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
After falling behind to an early goal from Sander Berge, Viktor Gyokeres drew the Sky Blues level heading into the break.
And then Callum O'Hare scored twice, with Matty Godden adding a fourth to ensure three points for City.
Defeat against Hull came midweek and then the month ended with a draw at Pride Park, as Matty Godden's opening goal was cancelled out by Tom Lawrence's penalty.
