A look back at the month of February...

20 May 2022

Following the end of the 2021/22 season we take a look back at each month in photos...

City started the month with a nail-biting FA Cup Fourth Round tie with Premier League side Southampton at St Mary's Stadium.

The Sky Blues took the lead through Viktor Gyokeres, before a fantastic strike from Stuart Armstrong helped send the Saints to extra-time.

However, their would be dissapointment for City when Kyle Walker-Peters struck late on to send Southampton into the next round.

City followed-up their exit from the FA Cup with a 1-1 draw at home to Blackpool, again with Gyokeres scoring for the Sky Blues.

An away day comeback against Reading was next and after falling behind early on, City responded with goals from centre-back duo Dom Hyam and Michael Rose.

The Royals responded with an equaliser of their own, but they couldn't reply again when Ian Maatsen looped the ball in to seal the points.

Defeat in Wales came next, before Dom Hyam scored late on at the Coventry Building Society Arena to beat Barnsley 1-0.

City made it back-to-back wins with victory on the road again, this time at Ashton Gate with a 2-1 win over Bristol City.

Ian Maatsen and Viktor Gyokeres scored for Mark Robins side, with the Swede scoring in the 89th minute to wrap up the points.

In the final fixture of the month, Fabio Tavares scored his first goal for the Sky Blues with a stunning strike deep into injury time against Preston to earn City a share of the points.
