OFFICIALS: Referee Watch Versus Sheffield United

Jeremy Simpson will be the man in the middle...

The EFL have confirmed that Jeremy Simpson will oversee this weekend's clash with Sheffield United.

Mark Robins’ side take on The Blades in the Sky Bet Championship at the Coventry Building Society Arena, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00pm.

It will be the second time that Simpson has taken charge of a game involving the Sky Blues this season, with his last outing coming in November 2021 during the 3-2 victory over Bristol City.

This year will mark Simpson's eleventh season as a referee in the Football League and over that period he has officiated 12 Sky Blues fixtures 

With Simpson in the middle, City have a record of:

Won – 3
Drawn – 5
Lost – 4

This season so far, Simpson has awarded 111 yellow cards and five red cards in the 26 games he has officiated across the Championship, League One, League Two and FA Cup.

Simpson will be assisted by Rob Smith and Richard Wild whilst Leigh Doughty will act as the fourth official.
