18 March 2022

The EFL have confirmed that Darren Bond will be the man in the middle of the Sky Blues clash with Derby County this weekend.

Mark Robins side take on Derby in Sky Bet Championship action at Pride Park, with kick-off scheduled for 12:30pm for the televised fixture.

It will be the first time that Bond has taken charge of a game involving the Sky Blues this season, with his last City game being the 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers last season.

This year will mark Darren's 10th season as a referee in the Football League and over that time period he has officiated 6 Sky Blues fixtures.

With Bond in the middle, City have a record of:

Wins - 1
Draws - 2
Defeats - 3

This season so far, Darren has awarded 31 yellow cards and no red cards in the 10 games he has officiated across the Championship, League One, EFL Cup and League Two

Bond will be assisted by Mark Russell and George Byrne whilst Josh Smith will act as the fourth official.
