NEWS: Coventry City confirm priority points scheme details

29 June 2022

Coventry City have today confirmed details of the Club’s new Priority Points scheme.

Supporters have been allocated points based on ticket purchases since the 2019/20 season, and will be able to gain points through ticket purchases going forward.

Supporters will be able to view their Priority Points shortly by logging in to their account at eticketing.co.uk/CCFC

Points are allocated to the supporter who a ticket was assigned to – if this was not done at the point of purchase, this will have been assigned to the ticket buyer and cannot be reassigned to other supporters retrospectively.

Points are allocated per game – buying multiple tickets for a game will not accrue additional points.

The points are allocated on the basis outlined below:

2019/20:

  • Season Ticket holders – 270 points
  • Home Games – 10 points per game
  • Additional 10 points for each home evening game
  • Additional 10 points for each home cup game
  • Additional 20 points for each home EFL Trophy game

2020/21:

  • Championship Club Membership – 250 points
  • CCM with Season Ticket – 300 points

2021/22:

  • Season Ticket holders – 230 points
  • Home Games – 10 points
  • Additional 10 points for each home cup game
  • Away Games – 10 points
  • Additional 10 points for each away evening game
  • Additional 10 points for each away cup game

2022/23:

  • Season Ticket holders – 230 points
  • Home Games – 10 points
  • Additional 10 points for each home cup game
  • Away Games – 10 points
  • Additional 10 points for each away evening game

Each season, the oldest season’s points will be removed to ensure that the points are reflective of current supporter behaviour and purchases.

Details about the points required to purchase at different period for games will be communicated as part of away ticket information going forward. This may also apply to other games, such as home cup fixtures.

Coventry City Chief Executive Dave Boddy said:

“We’re pleased to confirm the details for the new priority points scheme.

“This scheme has been introduced to make the access to purchase away tickets fairer for our supporters.

“In allocating the points, we have been keen to ensure that past support, both home and away, has been acknowledged and rewarded.

“Fans will be able to gather more points going forward through attending games.

“Ahead of each fixture, we will confirm the point requirements to buy at different periods – as previously, this will vary based on the allocation that we’re given and the expected demand for each game.”

The new system will be in place for the first away game of the season against Sunderland – we are awaiting ticket information for this game and will communicate this as soon as we are able to do so.
