NEWS: Adi Viveash signs new contract with Coventry City!

30 June 2022

Coventry City are delighted to announce that assistant manager Adi Viveash has signed a new contract with the Club!

Adi has been a vital part of the Sky Blues management team since his arrival at Ryton in August 2017.

A hugely respected coach within the game, Adi has been integral to the Club’s recent success, including the League Two play-off victory, the League One title and re-establishing the Sky Blues in the Championship.

As a player, Adi has spells at Swindon, Reading and Walsall, before embarking on a coaching career which include a trophy laden spell at Chelsea, where he led the Blues Under 18s to three consecutive FA Youth Cup finals and UEFA Youth League victories in 2015 and 2016, and played a key role in the development of several international and Premier League stars.

Adi Viveash said:

“I am delighted to sign a new contract with Coventry City and continue the work we’ve done over the last five years.

“The Club is in a very different place on and off the pitch since the time I arrived and that is testament to everyone at the Football Club.

“I see any new contract as a pat on the back for the players, because it means the players have implemented the ideas we have tried to get across on the training pitch, so it’s a big thank you to them.

“Hopefully I will enjoy watching them this season as much as we did last campaign.”

Manager Mark Robins said: “It is excellent news that Adi has agreed a new contract with the Club.

“In my opinion, this is the most important signing the Club can make this Summer.

“Adi is a superb coach and has a huge wealth of experience and knowledge, and he has played a massive and hugely important role in what the Club has achieved in recent years and the development of our squad over that time.

“The players and staff at the Club look forward to continuing to work with Adi.”
