We are delighted to confirm the signing of Jonathan Panzo on a season-long loan from Nottingham Forest.

The 21-year-old joins the Sky Blues from Premier League side Nottingham Forest for the 2022/23 Championship campaign.

Panzo began his career at Chelsea, rising through the youth ranks in West London before departing for the then French Champions, AS Monaco aged 17.

The centre-back made his debut with Monaco just five months later, against FC Lorient, following an impressive spell with Monaco II.

Panzo then joined Belgian side Cercle Brugge on loan for the 2019/20 season, eventually signing with French side Dijon on a permanent move in 2020.

He spent two further season in France before returning to England with Nottingham Forest, where he featured during their promotion-winning campaign back to the Premier League.

Panzo has also represented England at every youth level, most recently playing for England's Under-21s during the 2020/21 season.

The centre-back will now link-up with Mark Robins side after agreeing a loan move from the City Ground and after completing the deal, the City boss had this to say:

"We are delighted to be able to bring Jonathan to Coventry City.

"He is someone we know well and he's someone we've wanted to bring in for a long time.

"Jonathan is a really good player. He's young and hungry and he wants to do well and we are looking forward to working with him.

"He's versatile, he can play on the left of a three, in a four and on the left-hand side and he helps us in that area after losing Jake Clarke-Salter and Ian Maatsen.

"I'd also like to thank Steve Cooper and Nottingham Forest for their cooperation in getting this deal complete."
