We are delighted to announce the signing of Callum Doyle from Manchester City on a season-long loan.
The 18-year-old joins the Sky Blues from the Premier League champions for the 2022/23 season.
Callum will link-up with City fresh off the back of helping England Under-19s to European Championship glory, having scored in the final against Israel.
The centre-back spent the 2021/22 season in League One with Sunderland, where he played over 35 games, aiding their return to the Championship via the play-offs.
Doyle becomes the Sky Blues’ second summer signing and, after the deal was signed, City boss Mark Robins had this to say:
“We are delighted to welcome Callum to Coventry City.
“He is a really good player with a lot of potential, who we know a lot about, and we’re all looking forward to working with him.
“Callum is a regular in the England set-up and was a key player in helping the Under-19s win the European Championships only a few weeks ago, scoring in the final.
“He enjoyed a successful first season with Sunderland, helping them win promotion and, as I say, we are very happy to be able to welcome him to the club.
“I’d also like to thank everyone at Manchester City for their cooperation in Callum joining us this season.”
