The EFL have confirmed that Darren Bond will act as referee for The Sky Blues' clash with Sunderland on Sunday.

Mark Robins' side will take on The Black Cats in Sky Bet Championship action at the Stadium of Light, with kick-off scheduled for 12:00pm.

Bond, from Lancashire, last took charge of a Sky Blues fixtures, back in March, when he oversaw the club's 1-1 draw with Derby County.

He was also referee for 2021's 1-1 draw between Coventry and Blackburn, a match in which defender Leo Ostigard was sent off.

Last season, Bond was appointed referee for ten Championship fixtures and also took charge of games in League One (4) and League Two (2).

He will be assisted by Philip Dermott and Nigel Lugg with Stephen Martin acting as his fourth official.
