Mark Robins has confirmed that Liam Kelly will be sidelined for a "significant period" of time after sustaining a hamstring injury.
The club captain was missing for Tuesday night's clash with Walsall after he picked up the injury against Oxford United, three days prior.
It has since been discovered that Kelly has sustained a serious hamstring tear and could be out of action for much of the rest of 2022.
"Liam will be missing for a significant period," the manager has confirmed.
"He has a serious tear to his hamstring and will be missing for a while."
"I do not know what the timescale is but I don't think we will see him this side of the International Break (September) or even the World Cup (November/December)."
