The Sky Blues came from behind to beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 at the Pinatar Arena in Alicante.
Despite enjoying the majority of possession, City fell behind when Nicholas Ioannou put Forest in front five minutes before half-time.
However, their lead didn't last long as Matty Godden was played through on goal and slotted the ball past Dean Henderson with a superb finish.
The Sky Blues made nine changes at half-time and it was one of those substitutes, Tyler Walker, who made scored twice to complete the comeback and secure victory for Mark Robins side.
