The installation of the new hybrid pitch at Ryton has been completed.
The synthetic carpet is now in place on pitch 1 at the Sky Blue Lodge, following the installation of drainage and pop up sprinklers.
The pitch and boxes have now been seeded, with the natural grass to grow through the synthetic carpet and, to create the reinforced natural hybrid surface.
Over the coming weeks, the grass will grow on pitch 1 ahead of the Sky Blues being able to train on it again.
Mixto is the surface being installed at Ryton - this is a reinforced natural hybrid surface, specifically designed to serve a variety of needs for sports surfaces.
