Coventry City’s business in the January Transfer Window has concluded.
The month saw experienced left back Jake Bidwell join the Sky Blues from Swansea City, signing a contract until June 2025.
Speaking at the time, Manager Mark Robins praised the addition to the squad.
“He is an excellent defender who will get forward strongly, he has a lot of experience, having played nearly 450 games, including many at Championship level, and has a fantastic attitude too.
“Jake will add further quality to our squad at left wing-back.”
Going in the other direction, there have been loan moves for Tyler Walker (Portsmouth), Josh Pask (Newport County), Declan Drysdale (Ross County), Marcel Hilssner (FSV Zwickau) and Blaine Rowe (Ayr United), while Wesley Jobello left by mutual consent.
Meanwhile, during the same period, attacking midfielder Callum O’Hare agreed a new deal with the Sky Blues until June 2024.
Coventry City Chief Executive Dave Boddy said this evening:
“We have been very pleased to add Jake Bidwell and bringing him in adds further quality to the squad. We were delighted to be able to add Jake to the squad now, rather than wait until the Summer as we had expected.
“Elsewhere, we have been able to get a number of members of the squad that Mark Robins had identified in needing minutes or further experience out on loan too.
“Importantly we have achieved our aim to keep together the existing squad and players, which brings a vital and continued stability to the Club as we look to continue our ongoing improvement and progress.”
