Jake Bidwell expressed his delight after securing his move to the Sky Blues earlier today.
Bidwell joins the Sky Blues on a deal until 2025 after agreeing a move from fellow Championship club Swansea City.
“I’m delighted to be here, and I’m delighted it’s done.” Bidwell said.
“It’s happened quite quickly, I only heard of the interest last week but we managed to get it done and I’m buzzing to be here and I can’t wait to meet the lads tomorrow and getting started properly.
“It’s a massive club and anyone who knows football knows that and I think the way the Gaffer is trying to do things at the moment and they style of play is brilliant, I’ve played against Coventry a few times and they’ve been three tough games.
“They’re a club on the up and things seem to be going in the right direction. Fans are back in and they’re filling it out most weeks and footballing wise I think it’s a good fit for me and I think the club as a whole is going in the right direction.”
Bidwell spent time at the Sky Blue Lodge earlier today where he met City boss Mark Robins and was shown round the training ground.
Jake will train with his new teammates for the first time tomorrow morning and he is raring to get started, as he links-up with some familiar faces, including ‘keeper Simon Moore.
“I’m here to play football and the quicker I can get settled in with the style of the play and getting a connection with the lads on the pitch the better.
“It’s what I’m here for, to play football and help the team and I’m looking forward to getting started tomorrow.
“I know Simon Moore form my time at Brentford and I spoke with him last week and he had nothing but good things to day bout the club the lads and the dressing room.
“He put my mind at ease and as I said, he’s told me it’s a great dressing room to come into and I’m looking forward to adding to that.”
The 28-year-old will link-up with the Sky Blues ahead of City’s next scheduled fixture against his former club Queens Park Rangers.
“I want to get a good weeks training under my belt and hopefully be available if needed this weekend.”
