Tony Harrington will be the man in the middle...

3 February 2022

Tony Harrington will be the man in the middle of the Sky Blues' FA Cup clash with Southampton this weekend.

Mark Robins side take on the Saints in The Emirates FA Cup action at St Mary's Stadium with kick-off scheduled for 3 pm.

It will be the first time that Tony has took charge of a game involving the Sky Blues this season, having officiated City's draw with Wycombe Wanderers at St Andrew's back in March 2021.

This year will mark Tony's 10th season as a referee in the Football League and over that time period he has officiated five Sky Blues fixtures.

With Harrington in the middle, City have a record of:

Wins - 1
Draws - 2
Defeats - 2

This season so far, Harrington has awarded 32 yellow cards and one red card in the 13 games he has officiated across the Championship, FA Cup, Premier League, and EFL Cup.

Harrington will be assisted by Simon Beck and Matthew Wilkes whilst Matthew Donohue will act as the fourth official.

For the first time, City will be playing a game with VAR, operated by Kevin Friend with Mark Scholes as his assistant.
