LOAN WATCH: Goals for Sky Blues duo and Billson saves penalty

Seven City players in action over the weekend...

There were goals for Harrison Nee and George Burroughs this weekend, as they helped fire their respective teams to three points.

Burroughs scored the opening goal in Telford’s 2-1 win over Banbury United in the National League North clash, whilst Nee scored the third in a 3-1 win for Barwell against local rivals Nuneaton.

Both played the full 90 minutes for their sides, whilst Dermi Lusala also represented Barwell in that win against Nuneaton, whilst Burroughs also played again for Telford on Monday, featuring for the full 90 minutes again.

Staying in the National League North, Tom Billson produced a fine stop to deny Matt Rhead from the spot in Kidderminster’s 1-1 draw with Alfreton Town.

Unfortunately, Billson was unable to stop Rhead firing in the rebound, but it was another game under the belt for the City ‘keeper, whilst on the bench for Alfreton, Jay McGrath was an unused substitute.

Elsewhere, there was a debut for Marco Rus, as he was thrown into the starting eleven at Hereford, after he had joined the club on Saturday morning.

Rus played 83 minutes, before being replaced by fellow Coventry City loanee, Ricardo Dinanga, as Hereford suffered a 2-1 defeat against Kings Lynn Town.

Finally, Luke Bell also completed another 90 minutes for Slimbridge, as they fell to a 1-0 defeat to Shilling FC.

Danny Cashman was an unused substitute for Walsall and Julien Dacosta and Abel Alabi were not involved in the matchday squads.
