Sky Blues midfielder Callum O'Hare has vowed that City will bounce back after failing to make it five wins on the bounce with their defeat at Reading.
City created plenty of chances in Berkshire but were forced to head back up the M40 defeated, with the Royals winning out 1-0.
Michael Rose and O'Hare both came close to finding the net before Amadou Mbengue's nodded home the game's only goal.
But the Sky Blues will bounce back, said O'Hare, as he spoke to the media at full time.
On the result and the performance...
"It's disappointing to lose because we played well in parts. We need to build on that and, hopefully, next week we can get the result.
"We hit the post; we had a few chances. It just didn't roll for us today. Hopefully, in the next game, it will be different.
"We kept on trying because It's a crazy game, but today it wasn't our day."
On the Club's return to action...
"It's been weird. Today felt like a preseason game but we came in, heard the fans, then we knew it was serious again.
"We played a mini training game for fitness but, other than that, this was our first game. Despite that, I thought we did well. Hopefully, we can build on it."
On City taking the game to Reading...
"The energy levels went up, the tempo went up, and we had some chances - but when we were on top they scored. It is so annoying when that happens but that's football.
"We played well overall but we've lost and we leave with nothing. We needed a chance to go in, and that would have changed the game. It's annoying but we move on."
On the Sky Blues looking to bounce back...
"We put together two good runs before the break. We hate losing but we need to bounce back and come together.
"We played well in the game, we just didn't score. We need to bounce back. My goal will come soon, trust me."
