Fans attending Wednesday's game against Preston North End are advised that the Southbound on slip road of the M6 Junction 3 will be closed following the game.
National Highways have advised that the M6 southbound on-slip will be closing at 9pm on the night of the fixture against Preston North End on Wednesday 31st August.
This will not affect the Northbound on-slip – so fans travelling North and away fans will get away from the area without any challenges.
Fans who would normally use the Southbound on-slip for the M6 South or M69 North following the game are advised to use local roads to access to these roads using Junction 2 of the M6 instead.
