Coventry City can confirm that its players have chosen not to take the knee ahead of each game this season.
The decision was made collectively by the squad this week.
The players have decided to use specific moments during the 2022/23 season to take the knee, to amplify the message that racism has no place in football or society, which will be timed to coincide with specific matchdays and campaigns, such as the EFL's 'Not Today or Any Day' campaign.
Players took the knee for the Sky Sports live game against Sunderland on Sunday.
We remain committed to working to eradicate racial prejudice and increasing education and awareness around the history of racial prejudice and its consequences, with the aim to bring about an inclusive society with respect and equal opportunities for all.
