INTERVIEW: Mark Robins provides Callum O'Hare update

6 August 2022

A week on from sustaining a hamstring injury, Mark Robins provided an update on the latest fitness of midfielder Callum O’Hare.

Callum picked up, what Robins described as a ‘tweaked hamstring’ in the late stages of Friday’s training session last week.

The injury kept O’Hare out of the game against Sunderland and a week on from the problem the midfielder suffered, Robins told how he is not expecting to see Callum back in time for this weekend.

However, there was no time-date given on his return to action, as it is too early to say, with O’Hare set to have another scan soon.

“There’s nothing to add on Callum yet.

“He’s still not ready, but things have settled down and he’s not in any pain and we will probably give him another week or ten days to get him scanned again and then we will have a clearer picture of where he will be.

“He has bruising down the back of his legs, so there has been some bleed there.

“I’m not going to speculate on any recovery date. We need to be fair to him and you can’t put a date on it just yet.”

Along with Callum, City are without Liam Kelly, but Robins revealed that Martyn Waghorn has resumed full training.
