INTERVIEW: Dom Hyam previews Millwall clash

The Sky Blues take on Millwall on Saturday afternoon...

Sky Blues defender Dom Hyam says the mood in the camp is positive ahead of Saturday's clash with Millwall, despite their midweek Carabao Cup exit.

City will return to Championship action this weekend for the first time since the opening day, as they look to build on their respectable draw against Sunderland.

Millwall, managed by Gary Rowett, will represent a tough test for Mark Robins' side, 13 days on from their last league fixture.

"The mood in the camp is good," said Hyam, looking ahead to Saturday's match.

"It was obviously a tough night on Wednesday but at this level there is always another game around the corner to put things right.

"We are looking forward to Millwall and it should be a good game."

After finishing just short of the play-off last term, Hyam has his sights set on going one step forward this season - although he admits it will be a tough task.

"It's going to be a long, tough season. Every single player is going to be needed," he continued.

"We're an ambitious group and we want to aim higher. It's a short career and winning is what we want to do.

"We want to get promoted and we want to play in the highest divison - but we have to be realistic at the same time and it is going to be hard.

"We have to fit in a lot of games before the World Cup break - but let's go for it!"
