Sky Blues loanee Callum Doyle says he can do better following a difficult debut against Championship equals Bristol City.
The teenager, on loan from Manchester City, pointed the finger at himself following the club's 4-1 defeat, on a night in which Mark Robins made eight changes to his side.
Those changes allowed both Doyle and Tayo Adaramola to make their debuts in defence, while Fabio Tavares and Kasey Palmer also made their first competitive starts for the club.
But it proved a tough night for all in Sky Blue after a difficult ten days without a fixture.
"It was a tough game, especially in the first half. I found it really hard and I made a few mistakes myself," he said.
"In the second half, I think we turned it around until the goal. All in all, it was a really tough day for me.
"The manager gave me the chance and I know I could have done better," he admitted.
"It was a good experience for me, nevertheless, getting the minutes under my belt.
"It was also really good playing alongside Kyle McFadzean. He was talking to me throughout the match. I feel like I can really learn a lot from him and I will be asking him so many questions, hopefuly taking his experience to my advantage.
"I also felt I linked up well with Jake [Bidwell], especially towards the end, another great player who I also will be learning things from."
He added: "This is the right move for me, with the way that Coventry play. I want to show everyone what I have got.
"I feel like I need a little more time to adapt, but that will come."
