NEWS: Ryan Howley wins LFE Apprentice of the Season

The midfielder picks up the Championship award...

25 April 2022

Sky Blues midfielder Ryan Howley has won the League Football Education's EFL Apprentice of the Season.

Howley picked up the award after a breakthrough year on the pitch, as he went on to make his Championship and Football League debut.

The award also recognises the player's achievements off the pitch in terms of his education and development.

Ryan was presented the award last night at the EFL's End of Season awards, after being nominated alongside Birmingham's Jordan James and Hull's Jevon Mills.

Howley made his debut for the Sky Blues earlier this season when he started City's Carabao Cup First Round fixture against Northampton Town back in August.

He then made his Championship debut earlier this month when he came on as a substitute in City's clash with Nottingham Forest.

It's not only with the first team Howley has been involved with this season, as he has played a key role in the Under-23s reaching the Professional Development League play-offs next month.
