The Sky Blues made it three consecutive wins at the Coventry Building Society Arena after a 2-0 victory against Middlesbrough.
After an end-to-end first half, it was in the second 45 minutes where City made their efforts count when Viktor Gyokeres scored the game's opening goal after the 70th minute mark.
As City looked to get over the line, their lead was doubled on the stroke of stoppage time when Martyn Waghorn scored his first goal for the club to wrap up all three points.
