The EFL have confirmed that Matthew Donohue will be the man in the middle of the Sky Blues clash with Blackburn Rovers this weekend.

Mark Robins’ side travel to Lancashire to take on Rovers in the Sky Bet Championship at Ewood Park on Saturday, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00pm.

It will be the first time that Donohue has taken charge of a game involving the Sky Blues this season, with his only previous outing coming during City's 1-0 defeat at Burton Albion in November 2018, with this year marking Donohue’s fourth as a referee in the Football League.

This season so far, Donohue has awarded 20 yellow cards and three red cards in the seven games he has officiated across the Sky Bet Championship and EFL Cup.

Donohue will be assisted by Richard Wild and Geoffrey Liddle whilst Thomas Bramall will act as the fourth official.
