Coventry City Chief Executive Dave Boddy said:

“We are thrilled with the news that we have reached 11,000 Season Ticket holders and I would like to thank everyone who has purchased.

“To have so many supporters committing to a Season Ticket gives the Club a real platform to build from, this year and hopefully in the future.

“The support for the team and for the Club from our fans this season has been superb, with a fantastic atmosphere being created by the Sky Blue Army as they get behind their team.

The 11,000 figure is the biggest since the 1969-70 season, when City were in the top-flight of English football and around 11,500 Season Tickets were sold by the Club.

“Fans can still purchase a Season Tickets and secure their seat for the remaining 16 games,” said Boddy. “It would be an incredible achievement to surpass the 1969-70 total, and that is the next target we have.”

Manager Mark Robins said:

“It is excellent that the Club has now sold 11,000 Season Tickets.

“We have all seen and felt the difference that the supporters have made at games this season, with the superb numbers of supporters and the atmosphere that is being created.

“I would like to thank everyone who has bought a Season Ticket for the support and the commitment that they have shown to the team and of the Club, and I look forward to seeing more of you through the gate between now and the end of the season.”
