Sky Blues in the Community are helping people into work with our 'Accelerate' project!
- Work alongside Sky Blues in the Community coaches towards a Level 1 Qualification in Sports Leadership (SL1)
- Explore & access employment & training opportunities within Coventry & Warwickshire
- Develop your confidence & learn valuable employability skills in a fun, sociable & positive atmosphere
What To Expect:
- Confidence building activities within a fun, sociable & positive environment
- You will achieve an accredited Level 1 Sports Leadership Qualification (SL1) covering essential leadership & teamwork skills transferable to working life
- Highly practical - you have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills by delivering your own sports coaching sessions in the group & assist SBitC coaches across our
community projects - 1 hour volunteer led workshops per week covering confidence, health/well-being & employability skills One-to-one support & guidance from our Inclusion Coordinator
Important Info:
- This programme is limited to those who are not in any paid work (i.e. retired, disabled, receiving ESA, IB or IS; or not in receipt of benefits)
- This is a FREE programme and participants can still claim their benefits whilst taking part
- Participants will be able to claim expenses such as childcare costs & travel
- Upon completion of the programme participants will receive two Coventry City F.C home game tickets & will be presented with their certificate on he pitch.
Enrolment Process:
- Get in touch!
- Establish your expectations & goals
- Arrange travel (i.e. bus pass)
- Give you an opportunity to discuss & ask any questions about the programme
- Complete the registration form & provide relevant documents evidencing your
right to work in the UK & that you’re not in paid work
