Coventry City have agreed the signing of Abel Alabi!
Alabi will formally join the Sky Blues, subject to clearance, in the January transfer window.
The defender will link up with the City Under 23s squad upon the completion of the transfer.
The 18-year-old Irishman, who can also play in midfield, came up through the youth ranks at Waterford, impressing in Ireland before enjoying a successful trial with Luke Tisdale’s side earlier this year.
Under 23s coach Luke Tisdale said: "We're pleased to welcome Abel to the club. He spent some time with us last season and in the summer and impressed.
"He is very physically adept and will be a big presence at the back for the Under-18s come January 1st.
"Abel will be put on an individual development plan like everyone is and he will work with the 18s for the remainder of this season, before joining the Under-23s group at the start of the 2022/23 campaign."
