The EFL have confirmed that Leigh Doughty will oversee the Sky Blues’ match with Birmingham City tonight.
Mark Robins’ side take on Blues in the Sky Bet Championship at the Coventry Building Society Arena, with kick-off scheduled for 7:45pm.
It will be the second time that Doughty has taken charge of a game involving the Sky Blues this season, having officiated the 2-0 win over Middlesbrough at the Arena in September.
This year will mark Doughty's third season as a referee in the Football League and over that period he has officiated two Sky Blues fixtures with his first being City’s 2-0 home win over Sheffield Wednesday in January 2021.
This season so far, Doughty has awarded 53 yellow cards and one red card in the 13 games he has officiated across the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League One, Sky Bet League Two and Carabao Cup.
Doughty will be assisted by Robert Merchant and Richard Wild whilst Joshua Smith will act as the fourth official.
