MISSING MEN: Sky Blues 1-0 Birmingham City - 2009

Can you remember the missing men from a memorable win against Blues…

Ahead of City’s clash with Lee Bowyer’s Birmingham City at the Coventry Building Society Arena in the Sky Bet Championship, we take a trip down memory lane and remember a famous victory against our opponents…

This week’s edition takes us back to February 2009 when the Sky Blues welcomed Alex McLeish’s side to the Arena, with the visitors, including Bowyer in their side, hoping for a positive result to go level with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the summit.

Chris Coleman’s team came into the match sitting 14th in the table, having beaten pace setters Wolves in their last home match before earning a point at Turf Moor against Burnley the previous Tuesday.

The Sky Blues got off to the best possible start when two defenders combined to give the home side the lead after only two minutes and could have doubled their lead with the chances they created.

Sebastian Larsson forced City’s Number 1 into action with Maik Taylor at the other end denying the Sky Blues a second with his legs.

Chelsea loanee Scott Sinclair thought he had earned Blues a point however the linesman raised his flag and with that the biggest home league crowd of the season saw City mark Chris Coleman’s first anniversary as manager with three points!

However, what we want to know is how well do you remember the Sky Blues side from that day, can you name the starting eleven and the substitutes?
