BOYLESPORTS: Coventry Attract Support For South Coast Upset

26 November 2021

Two promotion-chasing Championship sides will be locking horns when Coventry City make the trip to the south coast this weekend to take on second-in-the-table Bournemouth.

Two draws coming out of the international break mean it’s now three games unbeaten for the Sky Blues, who head into Saturday's 3pm kick-off in fifth place and at 5/1 for promotion to the Premier League from their pre-season price of 12/1.

Mark Robins' men will kick-off as underdogs according to the betting, but the odds on a morale-boosting victory on the road have been clipped this week by BoyleSports, who cut an away win into 7/2 from 4/1 after The Cherries followed up their defeat to Derby County with a 1-1 draw at Millwall during the week.

A third consecutive 0-0 draw for the visitors has been trimmed into 17/2 from 9/1, while Viktor Gyokeres is the favourite amongst the travelling contingent to get back in form in front of goal.

The Swede is on nine goals this season and is a 2/1 shot from 5/2 to break into double figures for the campaign by rediscovering his scoring touch against Bournemouth, while Matt Godden is rated at 7/1 to score the first goal of the game having notched five times in his last seven appearances.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “There is some very interesting form heading into this one and a growing number of our Midland punters are believing Coventry City have what it takes to get back on the coach with a result. We have cut an away win into 7/2 from 4/1 as a result, so while Bournemouth are set to kick off favourites, nobody is putting this one down as a home banker this weekend.”
