On this day in 2018, the Sky Blues beat Notts County 4-1 at Meadow Lane to book their place in the League Two Play-Off Final.

Heading into the game, the Sky Blues and Notts County were level at 1-1 after Marc McNulty equalised late on at the Ricoh Arena during the first leg.

With over 4,000 City supporters in attendance, City made the perfect start when Max Biamou scored an overhead kick with only a few minutes on the clock.

That lead was doubled moments later when McNulty was on the end of a Liam Kelly cut-back to make it 3-1 on aggregate.

The Magpies pulled one back through Jorge Grant just before the break, but that would prove to be a consolation goal only as in the second half, a second from Biamou and a strike from Tom Bayliss confirmed the Sky Blues place in the final.

City would go on to win the League Two Play-Off Final, beating Exeter City 3-1 at Wembley.
