NEWS: Callum O'Hare voted 2020/21 Player of the Season!

14 May 2021

Callum O'Hare has been voted the Coventry City Player of the Season 2020/21, presented by BoyleSports.

The City midfielder was the clear winner once the votes were added up, with 59% of the over 6000 Sky Blues fans that voted choosing the 23-year-old.

O'Hare has enjoyed a superb season, impressing fans with his dynamic and exciting attacking play, plus his work-rate and defensive contributions too.

Callum played every one of the Sky Blues' Sky Bet Championship fixtures this season, and his total appearances during the campaign came to 48 matches.

He scored three goals during the campaign, finding the net at home to Queens Park Rangers, away to Nottingham Forest and in the resounding final day win at St Andrew's against Millwall. Meanwhile, O'Hare also provided assists for 8 goals during the season too.

Upon receiving news of the award, Callum said:

“I’m over the moon to know that the fans have voted for me as their Player of the Season, I’m buzzing to be honest.

"I feel like I’ve done well overall but I know I can do more and I can do better, I want to score more goals and get more assists.

“It’s been a weird season, especially without the fans, because the way I play, I like to excite them, and I thrive off them and not having them there has been tough but we’ve felt their support and I can’t wait for them to be back next year.

“The first game back at the Ricoh is going to be mad, I can’t wait. It feels so long since we’ve seen them and especially at the Ricoh it will be unbelievable.

“So, I’d just like to say thank you to everyone who voted for me and we can’t wait to see you next season and hopefully we can go even better with you with us.”
