NEWS: Saturday's game against Rotherham postponed

Coventry City can confirm that this Saturday’s away game against Rotherham United has unfortunately been postponed.

Rotherham United have informed the EFL that they will be unable to fulfil the fixture as scheduled on Saturday 13th March due to an outbreak of COVID-19 amongst their squad.

Details regarding the re-arranged fixture will be communicated in due course.

Supporters who have purchased a match pass to watch the game on iFollow will be automatically refunded in due course.

City's next fixture is now the away game against Luton Town on Tuesday 16th March.

 

The EFL have also released the following statement:

EFL STATEMENT: ROTHERHAM UNITED

Rotherham United’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against Coventry City on Saturday 13 March has been suspended.

The Club informed the EFL that it would be unable to fulfil the fixture following recent positive COVID-19 tests and the requirement for players and staff to self-isolate as per EFL and Government guidance in order to mitigate against the risk of further infection.

The circumstances surrounding the postponement will now be the subject of an investigation in accordance with EFL Regulations.

A revised date for the rearranged fixture will be confirmed in due course.
