Coventry City can confirm that its appeal of Kyle McFadzean’s red card on Tuesday night has been rejected by the FA today.
The Sky Blues provided video evidence and written evidence of the incident which we believe showed that Kyle should not have received a red card, especially in line with the new laws relating to handball and the location where the ball strikes a player.
It is regrettable that the FA chose not to rescind the decision based on the evidence that we provided, and unfortunately Kyle will now serve a two-match ban as a result of this being his second red card of the season.
