Coventry City and Dhillon’s Brewery are delighted to announce the opening of a new CCFC themed bar – the Sky Blue Tavern!
The bar will be located at Hertford Place, near Junction 7 of Coventry Ring Road, at the old Dragon Phoenix/Feast Junction building.
A historic name for a new venue, the Sky Blue Tavern is scheduled to open at the start of August.
The Tavern will have a Sky Blues theme, with historic images and memorabilia throughout the two-story building, and will be the place to go for Sky Blues supporters and the people of Coventry through the week and on matchdays too.
The range of Coventry City and Dhillon’s Brewery beers will be available to purchase, alongside a variety of other drinks and a selection of food. Football and sports fans will be able to watch the latest action on big screens and in individual booths, in a modern and relaxed environment, while there will be regular events at the Tavern too.
Further information about the Sky Blue Tavern will be revealed in the coming weeks!
Dal Dhillon, Managing Director of Dhillon’s Brewery, said:
“We are elated to announce this new joint venture with Coventry City Football Club.
“It has been simmering in the background for a very long time and we are proud to finally announce its arrival.
“The Sky Blue Tavern has always been an important part of Coventry's history. We at Dhillon's Brewery are excited to be bringing it back to life.
“As Coventry 's newest and largest sports bar, we’ll be showing a vast array of all live sports on dozens of screens across the two floors, whilst offering a huge range of drinks and food.
“I hope to see you all soon at the Sky Blue Tavern.”
Dave Boddy, Chief Executive of Coventry City, said:
“We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Dhillon’s Brewery with this very exciting venture at the Sky Blue Tavern – a name which will resonate with many supporters.
“The Sky Blue Tavern will be a hub for Sky Blues fans to meet and enjoy a drink, whether on matchdays or non-matchdays, and will help generate revenue and support the Club going forward.
“The plans and designs are very exciting, and really carry the identity of Coventry City into the venue and we know that fans will love them.
“We look forward to revealing further information in the coming weeks, ahead of the big opening in August.”
