FIXTURES: Local derbies and new opponents!

There are some mouthwatering fixtures for Sky Blues fans following the release of fixtures for the 2021/22 SkyBet Championship campaign, with local derbies and new opponents all lined up for Mark Robins' side.

The first game of the season will see City host East Midlands side Nottingham Forest at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday 7th August.

The Sky Blues visit the City Ground for the away fixture on Saturday 5th February, while the home game against Derby County is scheduled for Saturday 23rd October and the away trip on Saturday 19th March.

Closer to home, Coventry City host Birmingham City on Tuesday 23rd November while the return game at St Andrew's will be on Good Friday, 16th April.

West Bromwich Albion are newcomers to the Championship this season, and City first meet them on Saturday 4th December in CV6. Mark Robins' men visit the Hawthorns on Saturday 23rd April in what will be the penultimate away fixture.

The Sky Blues host Fulham on Saturday 2nd October and Sheffield United on Saturday 12th March, while away games against those sides take place on Saturday 9th April and Saturday 20th November respectively.

The first opponent coming up from League One that the Sky Blues face is Blackpool away on Tuesday 17th August, with the home game on Tuesday 8th February.

City face fellow promoted side Peterborough United on Saturday 25th September (Home) and Saturday 15th January (Away), while last year's League One champions Hull City are the opponents on Saturday 30th October (Away) and Wednesday 16th March (Home).
