Coventry City have completed the signing of Marco Rus!
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has agreed a two-year contract with the Sky Blues until June 2023, with City having the option to extend the agreement for a further year too.
Marco was released by Southampton at the end of last season, having joined the Saints in July 2019 following four years with Yeovil Town. He enjoyed a successful trial period with the Sky Blues at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
A creative and tricky winger originally from Romania, Rus will initially link up with City’s Under 23s side.
Under 23s Head Coach Luke Tisdale said:
“We’re pleased to welcome Marco to the Club.
“He is a clever, tricky player who will offer creativity to the Under 23s side.
“We look forward to working with Marco again and seeing him grow and learn under the guidance of our coaching staff.”
