NEWS: Sky Blues to remember fans who have passed away since March 2020 at Wolves game

21 July 2021

Coventry City will remember fans who have passed away since March 2020 at our pre-season game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

As previously announced at the end of last season, Coventry City planned to remember fans who have passed away during the pandemic at the first game that supporters are able to attend.

We know it will be an emotional time, with some supporters returning to the stadium without people who would have always been with them.

We will be remembering all those who have sadly passed away during this time ahead of kick-off in the game, whether due to COVID-19 or for other reasons.

This first game back is the pre-season game at the Coventry Building Society Arena against Wolves on Sunday 1st August (1pm KO).

Plans for remembering Coventry City legend George Curtis, who passed away last weekend, will be focused around the first league game against Nottingham Forest.

Fans who wish to remember a Sky Blues supporter who has passed away since March 2020 and are asked to e-mail the name of the supporter, along with an image if they wish, to:

matchday@ccfc.co.uk

To ensure these can be displayed on the screen, supporters are required to send these to us by 5pm on Wednesday 28th July. Any submissions after this time unfortunately cannot be included.

Names of those fans submitted will also be shown on the screen before the Nottingham Forest game (timing of tribute tbc) and also in the matchday programme.
