NEWS: RIP John Reason

2 July 2021

Coventry City are saddened to learn of the death of former vice chairman and director John Reason.

John, who passed away last month at the age of 90, was a director of Coventry City from 1985 to 2003 and served as vice chairman from 2002 to 2003, having first went to watch the Sky Blues as a six-year-old.

Coventry-kid John was also a legendary rider with the Coventry Bees speedway team and represented England in the sport.

Having had a successful career in the haulage business, running his own company, John joined the board of directors in December 1985 and was on the board at the time of the Sky Blues’ FA Cup victory and the Club’s time in the Premier League.

Our thoughts and condolences are with John’s family and friends at this sad time.
