CHARITY: Support the #CancerDeadlineDay campaign

22 January 2021

This transfer window, charities are calling on football fans, players, clubs and legends to make a transfer for cancer, with #CancerDeadlineDay on 1st February.

Cancer Deadline Day is supporting Teenage Cancer Trust, Macmillan, Prostate Cancer UK, Pancreatic Cancer UK, CLIC Sargent, The Ruth Strauss Foundation, Breast Cancer Now and the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

COVID-19 has hit cancer charities hard – so this transfer window charities are working to give cancer the boot.

It’s simple: select your club, make a donation and help your club reach the top of the giving table.

Fans of clubs including the Sky Blues are being asked to donate online and "make a transfer for cancer", referencing their own football club as they do to help their team climb up the donations ‘league table.’

Millwall are the early front runners and Arsenal, Arsenal Ladies, Tottenham Hotspur and Norwich City are all in the ‘pay-off places,’ as the giving table is starting to take shape.
