OFFICIALS: Referee Watch Versus Blackburn Rovers

Darren Bond will be the man in the middle...

25 February 2021

The EFL have confirmed that Darren Bond will be the man in the middle of the Sky Blues clash with Blackburn Rovers this weekend.

Mark Robins side take on Blackburn in Sky Bet Championship action at Ewood Park, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00pm.

It will be the first time that Bond has taken charge of a game involving the Sky Blues this season and his first time since City's 2-2 draw with Birmingham back in February 2020.

This year will mark Darren's 9th season as a referee in the Football League and over that time period he has officiated 4 Sky Blues fixtures.

With Bond in the middle, City have a record of:

Wins - 1
Draws - 1
Defeats - 3

This season so far, Darren has awarded 75 yellow cards and two red cards in the 22 games he has officiated across the Championship, League One, EFL Cup and FA Cup.

Bond will be assisted by Paul Hodskinson and George Byrne whilst Jeremy Simpson will act as the fourth official.
